Giving to The Royal Conservatory Today

The Royal Conservatory has touched the lives of millions of people from coast to coast. It has engendered a love of music and the arts in generations of Canadians, each generation sharing this joy with the next.

Help us to continue to nurture this tradition by making an investment in the Conservatory. If there is someone in your life or history whom you would like to honour, we welcome gifts made in tribute to these special individuals. Alternatively, you may choose to support a Conservatory scholarship in honour of talented musicians or to nurture today’s emerging performers and budding professionals. Or you may wish to donate a treasured instrument to help future generations of musicians.

Instrument Gifts

Do you have a Strad in your attic?

Strad in the Attic is the instrument donation program at The Royal Conservatory. This innovative program aims to build up the Conservatory’s Musical Instrument Bank collection for the benefit of both students and faculty.

Strad in the Attic is an excellent way for donors to ensure their unused instruments find a new home at The Royal Conservatory, where they will be played – and treasured – by a new generation of talented musicians.

When you donate an instrument to the Conservatory through Strad in the Attic, you will receive a tax receipt based on the appraised current market value of the instrument. The donated instrument then becomes part of the Conservatory’s collection, to be played by students and faculty.
